Hello !

I'm starting to look for a remote I could hold in my hand while presenting in Keynote (iPhone can do that, but it's way too big to be comfortable.)

But before I spend money on a dedicated remote, I would like to know if support for the Nintendo Switch "joy-cons" in Ventura let you use the controller as a remote in Keynote ? It appear to me that my joy cons would be perfect for this.

Can someone with the Ventura Beta and a Nintendo Switch try this ?

Can't answer your question, but wanted to point out that an Apple Watch can also be used as a remote if you happen to have one.

I do, but it's very very awkward to "stop talking, raise wrist, press the button".

Having a remote in hand is so much more natural. You can keep speaking naturally while moving your arms and change slides without any interruptions.

Nice, glad you got it figured out!

I had a crazy thought the other day… I wonder if it’s possible to use the Apple Watch’s AssistiveTouch hand gestures to control the Keynote remote. Could we do something like going to the next slide with a pinch and go back by clenching our fist? I suppose it could be easy to do those gestures unintentionally during a presentation though, or not be very reliable. I think it’d be kind of neat if it looked like the slides magically advanced without the use of a remote if it was possible to pull it off discreetly and not look awkward. I might have to investigate sometime.
