Anyone else noticing a lag when switching between the various System Settings categories? This is on a 2020 M1 Mini, so not an old machine or anything.

Each panel is a separate app, same as before. But in the old version there was animation that hid the delay.

I wouldn't expect there to be any delay. For example, here are VLC's advanced options with the same type of layout. Notice each pane is much snappier to display when you click on a different options heading on the left:

Seems Ventura’s new bits and bobs are still a bit rough around the edges…I’ve noticed there is also some lag and jankiness when scrolling the main navigation pane in the Settings app.

VLC doesn't launch a new process each time it changes panel.

Then Apple needs to add some sort of transition animation back, because this feels broken. Regardless of what may or may not being going on "under the hood", users aren't expecting a lag like this when clicking a paned menu, so there should be some sort of transition at the very least.

Yeah, System Settings is even worse on an Intel i7 16" MBP with AMD 5300M GPU enabled.

I also have Windows 11/Bootcamp and Microsofts Settings app is super snappy even though I disabled animations.
Apple needs to step up.

Windows 11 Settings app performance:
