I have a Mac studio running Ventura. My sister has the M1 iMac 24" also with the latest Ventura. I was setting it up for her a noticed that it has a retro look to it. I can't for the life of me figure out how to get it to look like mine.

Where is the setting for this?

it's the "Reduce Transparency" and/or "Increase Contrast." To disable, head into System Settings, and under Accessibility, click Display, then UNCHECK the options "Increase Contrast" AND "Reduce Transparency."

I did the update on my M1 Macbook Pro and lost the dark mode on all of the forums I haunt. Also, the update changed the view modes on my homepage, Yahoo:

I'd really like to get the old views back. Any ideas?

Maybe because you accidentally selected an accessibility setting at setup
I honestly don't know. Is there a way to fix this if that's what I did?

Ooops, sorry! You were replying to someone else.

@mikegc At this point, it's probably an issue with your browser/the page you're visiting. Regarding the dark mode problem, maybe switch to light and back to dark again?

Got it figured out and, yes, you are correct about it being a browser issue. I went into Firefox preferences and selected Home. Scrolling down, I changed Website Appearance to Dark. That yielded the expected color changes but the overall view was still different. Finally, just below the Website Appearance, I noticed the heading COLORS and Manage Colors. Clicking on that, I saw a drop down menu under Overide the colors specified by the page by your selections above and ALWAYS was in the box. I changed it to ALWAYS and returned Website Appearance to back to AUTOMATIC and all was right with the world, again.

Next, I updated Firefox to the version introduced today and updated my other MacBook Pro. There were no issues with upgrading Ventura 13.0.1.

Thanks for your reply!
