Hello everyone, I'm trying to solve a set of problems for my dear old mum. Unfortunately I'm out of the country so I don't have the device in front of me but here are the problems as she describes them:

The Gmail app wasn't working. It kept returning "network error" when she opened it. I advised her to try the default iOS mail app. Somewhere along the way she deleted the Gmail app and has since been trying to reinstall it.

Which is where the second problem comes to the forefront: Her iPhone is constantly asking her to enter the iTunes password. Despite the fact that she enters it right every time in the pop-up notification. I have verified that the password works on my devices so I know it's a problem with her device. When she went to redownload the Gmail app, the App Store says "verification failed" when she tries to sign in. It didn't give any indication that it would try to verify, she's been using the account for the past year, and she has an iPad with the account on it working fine.

Can anyone help out? I'm sure many of you know what it's like having older parents with tech problems. I just wish I was there in person to help her, but alas I can't be right now.

Thank you,
Daniel
