My little external USB hard drive has started having problems.
Although it appears in the Disk Utility app, it won't mount.

When I try and verify or repair it, I get the following error:

Code:
Verify and Repair volume “Little Disc”
Checking Non-journaled HFS Plus volume.
Invalid node structure
Invalid B-tree node size
Invalid node structure
Invalid B-tree node size
Volume check failed.

Error: Filesystem verify or repair failed.

Is there anything I can do to try and repair it, it is an erase my only option?

Thanks all!

You could try a third-party utility like TechTool Pro. If the data on your drive is unimportant/backed up and don't feel like shelling out $100, yeah, a format is prettymuch your only option.
