I was not expecting a fee for each of my 2 phones! I placed order anyway, figuring I could investigate/fight later.

Anyone else get hit for this?

uhg

I know! And I already was losing my unlimited data plan because I've had my 4 for so long, so now there are so many extra fees. Why is there a fee to upgrade??:mad::mad::mad:

ATT is the same, they charge 36$. I'm guessing it's for paying all the interns who's maintaining the order servers up. :)

Ya, and I'm irritated. I could not see a breakdown of the price before I checked out. I assumed the extra $30 was sales tax. What a ripoff.

Real reason is because its a business and they can. Consumers pay it. Call and complain

Never got charged $30. Paid full price and kept sim card. Of course it could, and likely will, show up on my next bill. Was charged $45 sales tax.

Nothing new that I know of cell companies have been doing this for years. They keep easing the fee to, it used to be under $20. I think the first time I paid one it was $12.

You must have never, ever bought a phone. Ever. They charge you $30 or so for clicking a box in an application somewhere. AT&T charges $36. They even do this if you bring in a phone literally off the street. If it's not the one you have, it's a $30/$36 ding.

Ranks right up there with the "convenience fee" you get charged by those ticketing companies. I mean the ticket costs you X, and then you have to pay a few extra bucks to actually get the ticket.
