Question for those who already have used/tried Verizon 5G service (and don't live in NYC where the Wideband (I think that is what Verizon called it) is available - however limited it is.
I have an iPhone 12 that I am picking up Friday. It is my first 5G phone and I use Verizon. We live in New Jersey and since we don't live in one of the larger cities (like Newark, etc.) it appears from Verizon's map that while the 4G service is fine in our area, the 5G will be spotty at best.
Since I will have to pay additional to Verizon to upgrade our older 55+ Unlimited plan so that the phone will be able to access 5G, is it worth it?

5g Nationwide is really no different than 4G LTE except for maybe 10-20% more efficiency. It depends if you think the difference in price each month is worth having a marginally better version of LTE.

That is the impression I have gotten. Thanks for taking the time to reply
