Verizon 9/29 ship date

Anybody with a 9/29 original ship date seeing movement?
This is the very very first time I didn’t have my Apple product on date of release. I went back and forth and decided to port over from sprint to Verizon.
I didn’t want the X but now I do, so I ordered 4- iPhone 8’s and when they arrive I’m returning one and putting an old phone on that line so I can easily upgrade to the X.

Also had a 9/29 ship date and just got a tracking number from Verizon. On it's way, as it just left Memphis. Yay! Now the wondering begins; piece of cake activation or customer service craziness? Hoping for the former, prepared for the latter
