Anyone have any idea when we will see this update roll out for Verizon? So far i've heard absolutely nothing about this release.

It's a bit early to be making statements like that.

I would disagree, especially since those of us wanting to experience faster JavaScript performance and double-vibrate for texts might be waiting a while. I thought 4.3 would be a good opportunity for Apple to get both iPhones synced in their update availabilities.

Based on what? One update?

Yeah. I'm a bit dissapointed. My wife and my son both got updates on their AT&T phones, but none for my Verizon phone yet.

4.3 is that great? Still on 4.2.1 GSM iPhone myself the features don't seem that appealing. That and I'm jailbroken, but even with a new JB not sure I will upgrade immediately. :D

I don't think that the Verizon iPhone will see any updates until iOS 5.

i was thinking the same thing. iOS 5 will be the OS to unify all products as 4.2 unified iPad and iPhone

on another note i didnt want to make an entire thread for this so i want to know if this is a bug. on the ipad 2 when i download an app from the app store it automatically downloads to the next page on the ipad. i only use the first page and when ever i download an app is goes to page 2 then i have manually drag it to page one or a folder. just wanted to know if this is a bug. had it with 4.3 and now with 4.3.1. sorry to get off topic.

I don't really see why you would want it anyways... It's really not all that great.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/532.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.5 Mobile/8B117 Safari/6531.22.7)

There is a titanic load of security bug fixes in iOS 4.3 and 4.3.1. They are not optional upgrades.

That's just the way it is. My iPad and iPhone both do that. It will default to the second screen, or if it's full, it will go to the next screen that has an available slot.

The Verizon iPhone has turned into quite the unwanted stepchild, it seems.

Lol this seems to be the case. Until, they start selling more CDMA phones worldwide and I believe China has a large CDMA network as well

I'm curious why apple has seemingly two code bases for their phones. Wouldn't only the baseband be different? It shouldn't matter if someone has a Verizon iPhone or a GSM iPhone but that doesn't seem to be the case

I don't get why Apple is delaying the update. Hardware wise the o ly difference among the phones is the radio. Apple just has to take 4.3 and slap on the CDMA drivers into it.

Yeah, especially now that 4.3 includes ASLR. There's a few vulnerabilities made public for <4.3, such as the Pwn2Own hack from a few weeks/months ago.

I thought the same thing for the iPad! The original only had the one firmware file for both the WiFi and GSM iPads... But the iPad 2 has three(!) separate firmwares; the WiFi, CDMA and GSM. Ugh!
