If I upgrade my line and have unlimited data, will I keep it? Or do I need to buy the phone full price?

I remember getting when I got my Galaxy Nexus I kept it then, does anyone know if this has changed?

Thanks.

You'll now need to buy the phone at full price in order to keep your unlimited data sadly.

NoooOOOOOooO! I go over probably 12 gb/month tethering and streaming music in the car/at the gym.

What am I to do?

12GB a moth is a lot of data but I think many people will be shocked when they get their bill after streaming Netflix and using FaceTime and apple maps. 4G is going to surprise some people in their usage billing.
