Carrier Verizon: Anyone else not get charged sales tax on their iPhone 6?

I pre-ordered four iPhone 6 64 GB models. My card was charged $299.99 x 4 = $1199.96 No sales tax was collected. Also my first bill didn't contain any charges for tax on the devices. Anyone else experience the same? I'm not complaining, just wondering how a huge carrier like Verizon could let this slip by!
