I have a question. I bought the iPhone 7 Plus at full retail from Apple.com. I currently have an unlimited data plan with Verizon. When I go to activate my new iPhone 7 can I just activate it with the sim card that comes with it and still keep my UDP or do I need to switch the sim card from my old iPhone 6+ to keep my UDP? Thanks

Verizon as well. I was told just turn off the old phone, turn on the new phone, and go through the set up and that's all there is to it. I hope that's all I have to do

Either way will work.

You simply swap the sim cards with the phones powered down and you're fine. I've done this many years and have never had an issue with the phones recognizing the new sim and never affecting my UDP.

If you are paying 49.99 for your data plan you can upgrade your phone with without losing your UDP

I'm not paying $49.99 though. Only paying $23.99 as I get an employer discount.

Yeah I will probably just swap them to be safe.

Verizon allows UDP customers keep their plans if they purchase the phone full retail price or use their next plan. They just charge $20 upgrade fee for switching devices on your UDP line.
