I just bought a Ipad Air 2 from a friend of mine. It's only two months old and it he did activate it on AT&T first. I just bought a brand new Verizon Sim Card and it comes up on the Ipad "Verizon Cannot Activate his device, call customer service". What can I do, take it Apple and swap it out or what are my options? I thought you can just swap out sim cards with the Air ?

Thanks

Verizon has some crazy policies and red tape regarding devices they don't sell or aren't branded for them.

If you just want the on-demand access, your best bet is to go to an Apple store and ask for an Apple SIM. It'll cost around $5, but Verizon should have no problem activating service on it.

If you want a postpaid plan, you will need to find someone with a Verizon iPad or other tablet, and activate your service using that device. Then, swap the SIM into your iPad Air 2 and you should be fine.
