If you have a Verizon contract, some privacy information is shared by default, you have to OPT OUT of it if you don't want this information shared. First, you must register for MyVerizon on the Verizon website (you probably want to do this anyway for billing purposes and to manage your account). Using the MyVerizon drop down menu at the top, select View All under My Profile, then all the way at the bottom will be Manage Privacy Settings. On that page there are 3 things you can set (individually for each line on the account):

• Customer Proprietary Network Information Settings
• Business & Marketing Reports
• Relevant Mobile Advertising

I personally opted out of all these. There's also something about Location Based Services, but there didn't seem to be anything active there on my account.

Damn, never knew about this and i've been a long time vzw customer. Thanks for the info.

"Error 403--Forbidden"

Guess I'm not allowed to. I'll go log onto the account holder's line

It's a new thing. Verizon just changed their privacy policy to include these things about a week or two ago. Saw it on most of the major tech blogs but I'm guessing a vast majority of people aren't going to know about it.

WOW OP Thanks.

Also I looked into the LPS and had this message so I think I'm safe.

This should be a sticky (the thread not my reply).
