I took a look at the iPad data plans that are shown on the Apple website while you are preordering an iPad this morning, and I noticed they had changed from just last night. Yesterday Verizon had a 10 gig plan listed, and today it is replaced by a 1 gig plan for $20.

Verizon's website lists all of those options. Weird.

I don't know if I'm looking at a different part of the website, but under the new iPad part of Verizon's site, I see this:

I think I looked at prepaid mobile broadband plans. They started at 1GB and went up to 10GB.

I just asked during a live chat:

Dustin: Great. One more question, on Apple's website it shows a $20 1GB plan, but not on Verizon's website. Is that plan available for the new iPad?
Tamekia: On our site it should be listed. Let me check.
Tamekia: We offer the $30.00 2GB data plan.
Dustin: I see that, however I was wondering if you offer the $20 1GB plan that is shown on Apple's website on the preorder page for the new iPad.
Tamekia: I'm sorry but I only can offer you the three plans that's listed here on our site.

I just asked during a live chat:

Verizon is the absolute worst when it comes to the left leg knowing what the right leg is doing. In almost every major product launch they never seem to know whats going on with respect to plans, pricing, features, etc. Even on the day of launch stuff like this still happens. I was just going to switch from Wifi to Verizon iPad but now I will stick with Wifi.

Jailbreak iPhone + I tether = problem solved

Screw carriers and their multiple data plans
