Question: Can you purchase the watch anywhere to take advantage of the free activation and 3 months free or do you have to purchase the watch directly from verizon?

Also, if you cancel after the free 3 months is there any fee?

Yes it can be purchased anywhere... I purchased mine directly from Apple and activated it on my Verizon account and got the 3mon free, no cancellation fee to my knowledge.

I purchased my watch from Apple. I'm an existing Verizon customer. I took it into the Verizon store and asked about the promo for free activation with 3 months free. Initially, they told me that the offer only applied to watches bought from Verizon. But I mentioned that I bought the watch on day one when Verizon hadn't listed it yet on their website. The Verizon rep looked at her computer and said they'd give me the offer. There wasn't much pushback.

Bought mine from Best Buy and got the free activation and 3 months.
