Verizon iPhone 4.2.7

I've had my iPhone jailbroken since the Verizon's iPhone release. I haven't updated the firmware since though. I am looking for help on how to update to 4.2.7. I am not interested in 4.2.8 right now because my bootcamp is broken so I'll have to wait until a Mac version is out.

Can anyone give me a good procedure to follow so I don't lose any data/apps?

i just jb my VIP4 on a mac sir. interested?
 
Well I know there is a jb for 4.2.7 for Mac, but not one for 4.2.8. As I said earlier, my bootcamp is broken so until I fix that or a JB gets released for Mac I can stay in 4.2.7. What I really need right now is a good set instructions so I don't lose data/apps.
