i called verizon and they went ahead and unlocked my iPhone 4S, but when i insert a tmobile simcard nothing happens, im still on verizon. how do i disable it or make it read the SIM? its still activated under my account, the tmobile sim is the standard size so i went ahead and cut with siccors to fix of course without touching or cutting the gold part of the SIM. but nothing. any other way i can be sure its unlocked?

I thought an unlocked Verizon 4s can only be used for GSM internationally, not domestically. Only the 5 can do domestic and int'l GSM carriers.

You can. I got a GPP SIM from Ebay, works GREAT! No jailbreaking required. Best $21 I spent
