Hello everyone,

I was wondering how to get a Verizon iPhone 5 to work on Sprint. I put in my SIM card but it never activates and later says SIM failure. I tried contacting Sprint and they say that it wont work because its a Verizon iPhone. I don't think this is right because they are both CDMA networks. Anyone know how to fix this?

Thanks!

It's possible.

You have to understand that Sprint does not operate like the other carriers. There are 30+ SKUs just for SIM cards alone.

And the iPhone 5 was Sprint's first iPhone. The Sprint iPhone 5 is paired to it's SIM and won't operate on the network without that specific SIM.

In fact, SIM swapping is not a thing on Sprint. Every time you want to move a SIM around you have to call Sprint up or go online and give them the MEID of the phone and the serial number of the SIM card so Sprint can authorize it.

What you are going to need to do is find somone who knows the back offices of Sprint to get you a ClickIt ticket to put your IMEI into Sprint's whitelist. From there, someone who knows how to use Sprint DNA2 system needs to use that system to get this done. I would suggest asking around on the Sprint Reddit page as those kind of employees tend to hang out there.

However, if THAT person tells you it isn't possible, then it's not possible.

Sprint's internal systems are beyond complicated when it comes to SIM cards.
