I went in when my contract was up on Oct. 5th. I had to order and it arrived Oct. 17th. 32gb Black iPhone 5.
Wow, the Apple Store still quoted 3 weeks, last time I looked. Looks likes it's better to buy elsewhere.
You should reserve on Apple.com at 10 PM. That's how I got Verizon iPhone 5. Go put iPhone 5 in cart around 9:55 PM and refresh every minute or so.Has anyone been able to get a Verizon iPhone 5 recently ? For reservation and such?
I ordered online less than a week ago, and got my 5 on Friday. Right through Verizon's website.

not everyone wants a 32gb, VZW just assumes people want a 16 so if you go in store you have to specifically ask for a 32 or 64, and the whites seem less popular than the blacks so they should definitely have ATLEAST one white 64gb.
Yeah, my estimate date was at the end of the month. But I got a shipping notification three days after ordering - and I ordered late at night.
I think they've got them all marked as backordered, but they likely have some stock of the 32GB and 64GB - so you might have better luck with those.

No idea if you find one. I'd imagine it being a pain in the ass to cancel the order and reinstate your upgrade though.
Plus, they come with the SIM preinstalled, so that could complicate it further.
Personally, I was willing to risk the wait to be guaranteed one. Though my 4S had reception issues, so it was more necessary to have a guaranteed new phone.
