I just picked up an iPhone 5 64GB from the Verizon store. It was added to my account, but it's not getting service yet, and apparently, I can't switch back to my iPhone 4 for 24 hours. This isn't a big issue as I plan to sell the iPhone 5 and keep my iPhone 4 for a couple months. I'm calling Verizon to see if I can get it unlocked for international use because it's blocked within the USA outside Verizon. The first rep told me it was already unlocked and that it could roam in 220 countries. I was transferred to the global department who said that I could insert any nano SIM card into the SIM slot and get 4G LTE service if available or 3G service. Can anyone verify the claim?
