Verizon iphone 5 useable on AT&T

I know the verizon iphone 5 is unlocked, but can it be used on AT&T? it says any GSM network. is there some catch. someone on At&t can just use it. i bought it from apple for upgrade price.
 
It can be used on AT&T but not their LTE bands. The Verizon and AT&T versions support different LTE bands but the same 3G bands.
