Verizon iPhone 6s model number is "A1638" ?

If you look at the link below, the Verizon / t-mobile model number is listed to be A1638 - is this an error ? and it should be A1688 because such a model (A1638) is not listed on the apple website, does this mean the T-mobile iPhone will work on the verizon as well and vice versa

Yes, the T-mobile and Verizon model are the same. The AT&T is different because it has LTE Band 30.
