Is the Verizon iPhone Preorder time going to be Eastern time or Pacific? Will I have to stay up until 3am eastern time since I live in NY in order to preorder and actually get an iPhone? Anybody have the answer to this since VZW isn't being very forthcoming?

There have been numerous reports from different people on here that state they have been told eastern time. So, Wed night Thurs morning at 12:01am.
Not sure, it was taken from a Verizon employee post in a Verizon forum.

Well that doesn't make any sense, that would mean that people in the East Coast can order before anyone else.
Of course, I live in EST, so I guess I'm ok with that plan
It may be the same thing that Apple did in previous years, just open the floodgates when they felt like it, meaning logging on at 12am Eastern / 9pm Pacific and just clicking refresh until it opens up.
IIRC correctly, for the iPhone 4 the system opened up at around 4-5am Pacific, then promptly crashed and limped along for most of the day.

I just wish I was going to be able to complete a pre-order. I'm having to wait on my income tax in order to afford the up front cost of the phone (Selling my IPod Touch and Blackberry to pay for it but have to have the money up front to cover til then). Still don't have Wifey's W-2 to file so it looks like I won't have it until at least the 11th. I just hope they don't sell out right away and have to wait for weeks.
