Eh, I'm guessing they're still working out all this details with porting the iPhone to CDMA. I'm sure the next iteration of the Verizon iPhone will be a world player. I'm guessing whenever they find all the kinks with CDMA then the necessary updates will be made to correct this issue. Does kind of suck though for those international travelers looking to jump ship to VZ

doubt it. If anything itd be
CDMA and LTE for Verizon
GSM and LTE for att & other GSM companies

It's true, one of the benefits of a gsm network is it's ability to be used world wide, that was one of the main reasons apple used AT&T in the first place instead of verizon, or another CDMA network.

Jail breakers will want to stick with the gsm networks obviously

This is the one thing that seriously concerns me about the Verizon iPhone. With the GSM iPhone you could always sell the previous model for a decent price to pay for the new model.

Does anyone else think the resale value of a Verizon iPhone will be a lot less.

I dont think it will hold its value as well as the GSM counterpart.
Since it could only be used in the US by one only provider.
I can JB and unlock my iphone and sell it to anyone in the world.
