Hi guys,

I just purchased a Verizon Iphone 7 without contract. It came with a Verizon sim, but I am not a Verizon customer.

I have tried using it with my other SIM cards, Canadian and Chinese. Voice and 4G worked fine, as far as I could tell.

Since I didn't buy it with a contract, this is supposedly a unlocked phone right? Is there any difference at all between this and the sim-free versions that will come out much later? Is there any reason I should wait for the SIM-free one?

Thanks!

Yes it is unlocked. No idea about what the difference in the SIM-free ones will be since they released two different versions this year (one with CDMA -- Sprint/Verizon) and one without (AT&T/T-Mobile), if it will have both radios, or just GSM.
