Carrier Verizon keeping unlimited? On launch can you buy the 6s at full price or wait?

Currently on the Verizon unlimited data plan. It sounds like the easiest way for me to keep my unlimited data is to pay the full price of the 6s. Is this correct?

On the iPhone launch days can you actually buy the phone at full price on the launch day? or Do I have to wait a few weeks for that?

How do I go about activating the new phone to work with the unlimited data, is there any tricks?

I had the UDP when I got the 6. I pre-ordered it as soon as it went live and paid full price. There are no tricks to it if you're not trying to subsidize.
