I have a wifi only iPad right now but seriously contemplating on swapping for an LTE model now.

Anybody in the STL region on Verizon 4G LTE? How are the speeds?

I'm on Sprint with my 4s and while I can manage using their 3G, I could use the 4G hotspot on the iPad, which would be nice.

Tonyy -

I live in STL; live in south city and work near Town and Country. The 4G speeds on Verizon are insane. I have gotten as much as 42MBPs down, 17.5 MBps up. On average though it's closer to 25 down, 10-12 up.

LTE in St. Louis is great.

Don't bother trying a Sprint "4G" hotspot though. I could barely manage speeds better than AT&T 3G.

You guys just helped me on the decision. Sounds like 4G is excellent here.

I was also considering going to Sprint's "4G" but researched and found it was poop.

Thanks for the input!

Remember with Verizon ipad you get Hotspot included with your plan, so you can get LTE speeds on your laptop or even iphone.
