Verizon media manager port access

Would appreciate help with troubleshooting Verizon Fios Media Manager (VMM) interface with Mac. Unable to link VMM to Mac account error message "Unable to locate devices on network". Have set VMM in firewall exception list and initialized file sharing protocol. According to tech support, VMM uses port 5050 to search for devices and port 18000 for iPhoto and port 18001 for iTunes.
Network utility check indicates only port 18001 is open and available. Using the Verizon Actiontec router. Using only the Mac on the network. Any suggestions on manually opening ports 5050 and 18000 for VMM access?
