Hello first I would like to preface this request that I am a total newbie as far as iphones, ipads, SIM cards and all of that. I recently won an ipad mini from work. It's an AT&T one. I have a Verizon mifi. I have read online that SIM cards can be trimmed down and used in other devices successfully. Is this something that I could do and it work?
I know that the mifi I think has a standard SIM card and the ipad mini has a smaller SIM card in it.
What steps would I take to switch it over from the mifi unit over to the ipad ?
Would it jeopardize my account with Verizon ?
Just curious as a total newbie on this stuff

Thanks in advance for your replies

You can't do that, I'm afraid.

The cellular chip in your iPad mini works only on "GSM" equipment.

AT&T runs their network on "GSM".

Verizon runs their network on "CDMA".

You can't access a CDMA network on an iPad that only supports GSM. :(

PS: Welcome to MacRumors! :)

so I guess it's not a matter of changing the SIM card... my luck.... thanks for the info
