Verizon Month to Month Plan and Full Price Iphone

I purchased 2 Verizon iphone 6's from the online store for full price and selected a month to month plan. I have activated the phone with my T-mobile sim, but never activated the Verizon sim or called them to activate the number. Do I still need to call Verizon to cancel the month to month plan even if I never activated the phones?

If you selected a plan, then yes. I don't remember if it asks you to select a plan if you pay full price.
