Verizon - Multitouch Gestures?

I have edited and re-edited multiple .plist files in accordance with the various guides floating around, and even though my settings have a toggle for multitouch gestures, they never work.

Can somebody confirm that these gestures do (or do not) work with a Verizon iPhone 4 running iOs 4.2.8?
