Verizon "no commitment" devices are UNLOCKED - first-hand confirmation

Verizon device (the A1429 version) bought in an Apple Store today works with an AT&T GoPhone Sim (cut down). It's GSM unlocked.

I was stressing about this so thought I'd share for anyone else in the same boat.

Apparently it's the same for the contract (subsidised) models:
