I ordered a 64gb iPad online with Verizon last night. When I received the order confirmation email it showed $8,500 in taxes on an $829 order!!!!! Called Verizon and they said they had some order glitches but I wouldn't be charged that (obviously). Just wondering if anyone had the same problem?

At the rate this country is going, that ain't gonna be a glitch much longer...

Oh, and no, I've never seen $8,500 taxes on a $829 order.

It's a testament to your good finances that the credit card got authorized :)

Lol. The first thing I did was check my Amex....they had only authorized $1. Anyway, just received another email from VZW with the 'corrected' order', informing me to 'disregard' their previous order confirmation. I guess they originally wanted me to pay my 'fair share' of taxes. :)
