Carrier Verizon phone when not Verizon

So I want the full unlocked version via AUP. Clearly I can't order this am since I don't have a valid Verizon account. It stops me since I don't have a Verizon account. I know supplies will be limited will I be able to go into the store and get one once they are available or are they carrier restricting the new phone?

Just make sure it is Model M1661 (7+). That will do CDMA or GSM and a few others. You will have to go to an Apple Store . I am in the same situation, going to turn 6 into Apple and buy the, my description "World" phone. Take out the SIM and be on my way. If Verizon's plan is better I will switch.
