Update: The solution was to have the account owner assign all other lines as account managers. Tried after that and was able to do all 3 lines.

Original post:

I’m trying to ”get ready” by setting up my pre-orders for the family via the Apple Store app. I’m trading in everyone’s 13 Pro to get 17 Pro using the $1,100 credits via Verizon device payment plan. Once I get to the part where I enter the phone number and billing zip, it accepts it, and then gives me this screen, saying I’ll have to pay in full??

I’ve already upgraded all lines to Unlimited Ultimate effective today, and the change is already appearing in my account.

What do I do here? Do I have to order from Verizon instead? I was hoping to just make one trip to pick up at the Apple Store and be done with it.

Verizon's software is awful. I never have good luck with anything they do. I remember finding a great deal on a case on their website and it just wouldn't let me order it.

You might just need to wait a day or two for the updates to take hold.

This is through the Apple Store app. It works on one line, but the others give this error.

Make sure you are in the unlimited ultimate plan and your device is paid off for this to work. I had to upgrade from get more and pay off my device to get this option from the apple store to work.

All devices are on Unlimited Ultimate, and all are 100% paid off and eligible for the upgrade.

One line (the account owner) goes through and asks for a one-time code sent via text message.

The other two lines (account members) give the above error.

I am account manager and not upgrading my phone. But I should still have access to make any changes (I’m the one who set up the new billing). No idea why it won’t work through Apple. Super annoying.

Is your account business or personal?

Personal. But figured it out. Had to have the account owner assign all other lines as account managers. Tried after that and was able to do all 3. Weird solution but at least I don’t have to deal with Verizon now 😆

Try going to Verizon store in person ?
Or Apple Store in person on launch day?
Got it figured out and all set now!
