I ordered one(1) 16GB Black iPhone 5 and the total came out to $280.36.

this year i payed 324 with att for a 32 gb (via apple.com)

You got screwed but i heard sprints taxes were worst.

Yeah I thought it sounded high. $50 in sales tax and $30 for the upgrade fee. I live in California.

I didn't think about the price as I was pre-ordering (it would not have changed my decision to buy my iP5 <3 anyways) but this really is a bummer for us Californians. Going to dig deeper into this tax.
