Just a question here as I did not buy my phone from Verizon. I do have a prepaid Verizon account and on my Android device when I turned it on it would show the model of phone and then the Verizon logo came up. Does the iPhone do this if you buy the device from Verizon.(FWIW I don’t miss it)

All you will see is an Apple logo when you turn it on. The only thing Verizon you will see is the status bar telling you that you're connected to Verizon.
I was just curious about the iPhone compared to my Android device(which is in a drawer now)

At least with unlocked Samsung devices it will show the boot up screen of whatever carrier you’re currently using. Did that when I was testing carriers with the Note 8 that I owned at the time.
