I never used Verizon but I heard their iPhone is the most compatible one since it's GSM unlocked even in the US, plus the CDMA function on Verizon and PagePlus.

My questions:
1. Is it true that indeed the phone comes unlocked GSM?
2. Can you get GSM LTE (i.e. AT&T or T-Mobile) LTE if you switch to say Net10 or StraightTalk? I know both Net10 and straighttalk offer AT&T LTE.

I'm planning to get the new iPhone using Verizon, use it for three months on VZ and then pay the ETF and go prepaid.

The iPhone 5 and 5s are SIM unlocked. My family has both of those models, and we're all running AT&T now.

The Verizon iPhone 5 will not pickup LTE on AT&T. The Verizon iPhone 5s will. I have no experience with T-Mobile.

Yes to both your questions. If you search the site, there is a thread that talks about CDMA looking for signal even when you are using GSM only and causes some kind of issue. Might want to look into it.

People buy the Verizon iPhone 5s/5c when they are not Verizon customers just because of its greatness...

Verizon Question

The 5s works perfect on tmobile. I get LTE, HSPA+, CDMA. all works.
