I'm one of those people who have been hoping for a Verizon iPhone because my family has Verizon FiOS Internet, TV, and land-line phone, and they give discounts when you subscribe to multiple services. We haven't been dissatisfied with our AT&T iPhone service, except for the occasional failures to connect, which usually resolve after several dialing attempts. Mainly, I was hoping we'd get a better package deal with Verizon if and when they get the iPhone. Well, I just got a letter from Verizon saying that they're selling out to a company called Frontier in 14 states, including Oregon, effective June 30. This will affect all their services except for wireless phone, which Verizon is keeping. So much for a package deal -- we'll be on Frontier Internet/TV/land line (unless we switch to Comcast, our only other option). I won't have any motivation to switch to Verizon for iPhone service, unless they offer a better deal than AT&T and/or provide better service. Now I'll wait for the "Frontier to get iPhone" rumors to start.
