So apparently the only 2 options for the new iPhone 4 on VZW is 2nd day air or next day shipping. Im guessing we all should be getting ready to pay a pretty big price for shipping.

I doubt verizon would comp us the shipping ;p

I don't think the shipping would run too much I guess it depends where it gets shipped out of. I wouldn't mind paying like 40 bucks or so to get it quicker. I have the screen protector and a case ready now just need the phone..lol.

I think I read somewhere, too, that those who can pre-order will get next day air free (probably because it's going to be delivered right before/on the 10th.

AT&T's 2nd day option is free, next day is $15. I nearly always go for next day due to my dang impatience.

I thought once purchased the phones would be shipped out. I thought verizon wanted to give its customers the iPhone a few days before the general public... Maybe I misunderstood that though...

Nope. Verizon's guaranteeing those who preorder a phone on the 10th. They have a limited supply and if you don't preorder you'll need to camp out at a Verizon store to get on the 10th. Who knows what the result will be. They may have enough or end up with month long wait lists like AT&T/Apple did back in July.

DOH! I started pre-ordering my atomic case/SGP screen protector 2 early then... Ah oh well

Well if this is the case then... Would verizon send out the pre-ordered iphones before the 10th, so those who pre-ordered would receive on the 10th.

OR

Would the orders be shipped ON the 10th.

...If thats the case I guess next day would be the answer

I dont know what they intend on doing with regards to if current customers get the phone shipped immediately after preorders, however this is from their website:

Not sure why everyone is stuck up on the fact that vzw won't ship before the 10th. As far as I understand - they will ship it out if you order before 8 AM on 3rd and you will receive your iPhone 4 by 5PM EST on the 4th.

Even if they don't the standard answer has always been "You will receive it on, or before, Feb 10th" from all Verizon correspondence.

So either way you will get it by official release day, if not before, delivered nicely to your door.

Unless you're privvy to information thatg the rest of us don't have access to, verizon isn't garaunteeing anything to anyone and haven't made any official statement as to when phones will ship or arrive..

ETA - other than the canned "on or before the 10th"
