Verizon Sims locked until 12:01AM 9/22?

My phone will not activate and after an hour on the phone with Verizon I was told that some sims are locked until 12:01AM on the 22nd. Does this make any sense to anyone?

I've got the same issue. At least we can still play around with some of the features while we wait. It sucks not being able to actually use the phone yet, though (accept for wi-fi and camera). It looks like we're stuck with a glorified iPod Touch for the next day or so.

Mine actually activate an hour or so ago. Must have just been a strange glitch.
