Verizon Store Buy iPhone 6 Plus

If I go into the Verizon store and buy the iPhone plus on release day will they force you to activate it there or can I take the iPhone home still in the sealed Apple box? Thanks.

They will have you activate there. They did me the same way when I bought the 5. Of course I didn't pay full price for it so it may be different if you do.
