My sister may be leaving the country (U.S.) for a year of not-for-profit service with an NGO in Uganda, this upcoming year. Right now she has fulfilled her contract with Big Red, and is interested in possibly getting an iPhone. Before I called VZW Cust. "Service" I thought I'd poll the audience.
Has anyone had any luck with VZW suspending service on their U.S. line for longer than the 90 days (x2) allotments provided?
Also, while the website says that the phone cannot be used while suspended, does this apply only to VZW service or could she also not use the phone with another SIM (such as Orange in Uganda)?
I'm sure I'll end up calling Big Red, just thought I'd ask first.
