I have a X that was upgraded this year on my line in the next week or so getting a XR on my wife’s line. Being both devices are on the device payment thing can I switch them and take the XR for me and give her the X. They will still both be having payments being made monthly

Yes this is easy to do on the my Verizon webpage. Just have to know the imei and numbers. As long as they’re on the same account it shouldn’t matter. I’ve done this several times when using upgrades to get phones back in the day.

So I have I being I had a 3rd line for my father with a flip phone on it. It’s just that this payment plan is different as to getting a good discount on the device before they ch aged the system.

So I got a big surprise And I’m stuck b/c I had the XS and brought it back due to hardware issues which in fear wouldn’t be fixed anytime soon (antenna mostly) I got an X. Well guess what if you upgrade and it’s not the newest model you can’t upgrade after half the payments are paid off you’re stuck for the 2 full years. Unless I sell it or what not let’s see what happens down the line.

Just fair warning to all that there’s a catch 22 to it and this was so sneaky they changed the fine print on all of this 7 days before the pre order date of the XS.

I was told this is from Apple and the galaxy has the same thing now so Samsung did it and the carrier has to do what they say
