With the FCC's latest ruling that Verizon cannot ban tethering apps, will we be able to tether for free on the iphone 5 without jailbreaking the phone?

I switched over to Android from my 3GS, and if the new iphone comes with LTE, about the only thing separating it from my Galaxy Nexus now will be the ability to tether without a monthly subscription service.

I think only time will tell... I don't own a verizon branded iPhone but can you currently buy tethering apps from the app store on an non JB'd device? I know on an AT&T iphone you cannot - Its safe to assume its the same across the board. Apple is the one who regulates the tethering apps, Google being more open allowing tethering apps to even be in their store.

I understand the LTE/Tether issue, so again it goes back to my initial "Only time will tell"... reply
