Verizon to discontinue visual voice mail ? How can I access voicemail on the phone app randomly?

In July I saw that they will discontinue ? But it makes no sense how we have to dial a number just to hear when sprint always let the phone app save the voicemails ? I am confused about Verizon voicemail on phone app

This only applies to older phones and none of the Apple iPhones are on the list to be discontinued.
