The topic says it all. CNBC is quoting the WSJ that Verizon will be selling CDMA iphone in Q1 2011. This seems very solid.

It's official. CNBC reports iPhone coming to Verizon 1Q11

No link, but it sounds like it was an official announcement.

Verizin Iphone Q1 2011 according to CNBC and WSJ

I guess the speculation can now stop. I just saw on CNBC that the Wall St. Journal has confirmed a CDMA Verizon Iphone will be available in the first quarter of 2011.

I'll consider it official when Apple confirms it. :)

Actually, if you go to the front page of wsj.com you will see it there under Breaking news (red and black).

The Wall Street Journal is not Apple, and it's not Verizon. Unless and until either Apple or Verizon announce it explicitly, then nothing is confirmed.

I can agree with that. However, I believe the source is a lot more compelling than say Gizmodo, Boygenius or Engadget.

I feel like WSJ confirms this story, either by a tech site or an unnamed source, every 3 or so weeks. I won't believe it until I see it.

P.S. Hope Verizon doesn't muck it up with BING lol.

FWIW, this isn't the first time a major news source has claimed this about the iPhone. Also, when Gizmodo uncovered the iPhone 4 they were actually right. Thats not something the major news sites can say when it comes to the VZW rumors.
