I've switched from VZW to T-Mobile, and I'm trying to get my family to switch. I think one contingency would be that my parents can keep their phones.

My dad has an iPhone 4s running iOS 7 (not sure what .xx)
Mom has a Galaxy Note 2 (which I read is already SIM unlocked)

So my question, and based on reading another thread is:

"Can anyone confirm a Gevey Ultra 2.02 working on an unjailbroken 7.03 or 7.04 Verizon iPhone 4s?"

A comment.

4S was a single SKU phone. Meaning it can jump from CDMA to GSM. But it doesn't support all of TMobile's 3g/4g frequencies. It may experience more edge service than usual.

You need a March '03 refresh iPhone 5 or later for all 4g/hspa+ frequency support.

Hmm, interesting, okay. I don't know that my dad would really notice.

Does this mean I wouldn't need the Gevey?

The 4s may be capable of working on T-Mobile, but Verizon won't unlock it.
