Carrier Verizon Trade-In - Online or In-Store

Just ordered my new phone (12 Pro) and trading in my iPhone 7.

Curious about experiences - I initiated the trade-in process as part of the pre-order today. I imagine that I am able to mail in my phone. However, would anyone know if I am also able to bring my old phone to the Verizon store instead of sending it via mail?

I've never gone through Verizon before. I switched carriers today from AT&T, and in the past I have always done trade-ins in-person at the Apple Store.

If its a Verizon corporate store, they may allow you to trade in there for a gift card. They won't be able to apply this to any promotion. Mail in only for that even if you order directly from Verizon online.
